STV Sales has launched a new product to the Scottish media market – STV Mobile.

STV mobile is a text-based service which enables advertisers to communicate their messages to the Scottish public through a 24/7 mobile platform.

The new medium allows advertisers to interact with potential consumers across a range of media channels, including TV, press, radio, online and outdoor.

By including a text short code on advertising, this allows consumers to immediately interact with the product, choosing to enter into a text, email, postal or call back conversation.

The service also allows advertisers to generate validated responses through their campaigns.

Graeme Pattullo, sales director at STV said: "The launch of STV mobile is the next stage in the development of our ‘Beyond the Spot’ proposition to advertisers and agencies, following the launch of stv.tv last year. STV mobile provides the opportunity to make interactivity a realistic addition to a significant number of regional and local Scottish advertiser campaigns.”

STV has partnered with mobile services company, TXT4 to offer this service to the Scottish market.
