Porter Novelli has been appointed by the Bingo Association to run a campaign centred around the impact of legislation on Bingo Clubs.

The Edinburgh-based PR agency is focusing a UK-wide campaign entitled ‘Stop Destroying My Bingo’ with the aim of persuading the Government to make changes to the taxation of Bingo when more stringent legislation is introduced.

Porter Novelli first worked with the Association on a small Scottish campaign, which aimed to raise awareness in the Scottish Parliament about the impact of the smoking ban in Bingo clubs.

As a result, Porter Novelli was appointed on an ongoing basis to run the new campaign, incorporating PR and public affairs, while also project managing the consumer PR, design, data collection, radio and TV agencies.

Angela Casey, MD of Porter Novelli said: “We are focusing strongly on the fact that in many more remote communities Bingo is the only safe, social amenity for women.”
