PR consultancy Weber Shandwick has been appointed by the Cromarty Firth Port Authority (CFPA), the largest commercial port in the Highlands.

Weber Shandwick beat competition to provide PR support to CFPA as it continues to develop plans for both the Invergordon port and the former fabrication yard at Nigg.

The agency will deliver a community and media relations program for CFPA to support the port’s plans to increase its services to the region’s key industries, including oil, renewable energy and tourism.

Weber Shandwick Scotland deputy managing director John Macdonald said: “CFPA stands on the brink of some very exciting developments and plays an important role in the north of Scotland economy.”

The win comes two months after the agency expanded its presence in Inverness, with new office space in the city centre, as the agency strengthed its operations with new appointments.
