Trimedia Harrison Cowley has undergone a management restructure following its recent merger and the appointment of Graeme Isdale as managing director in January.

As a result of the restructure, Nicky Hawkins, who was managing director of Trimedia, has left the company with immediate effect, while Jeremy Hamilton, a director of Harrison Cowley, has also decided to leave the newley-merged company.

Isdale commented on the departures: “These decisions have been taken in the best interests of the business. In streamlining the management structure we are ensuring the business is in good shape to deliver going forward and to ensure that the highest level of client servicing continues to be maintained.”

Isdale continued to say that the decision to restructure the senior management team had been made in order to allow him to concentrate on strengthening the account handling side.

Isdale, who was one of the founding directors of rival PR agency BIG Partnership, will now oversee both the Glasgow and the Edinburgh offices of Trimedia Harrison Cowley.

Jeremy Hamilton was one of the founding members of Hatch Group, which later became Trimedia. Hamilton has been heading up Harrison Cowley for the last 18 months having previously worked client-side.

He said of his departure: “I had a specific job to do, which was to rebuild Harrison Cowley and we achieved that in the year that we had to do it. The next stage was to follow through with the merger and I feel that I’ve fulfilled what I came here to do and I’m very proud of that fact. With the team and the new business stream, we’ve transformed Harrison Cowley and we came to the merger as a very healthy and vibrant business.”

He went on to say that he would move on to work at his family property business and spend a year studying for an MBA before “looking at new challenges”.

Hamilton said that the date of his departure had yet to be agreed, but that it would happen when both he and Isdale felt the timing was right.
