The Arts Council has appointed Glorious Creative to handle all branding and marketing for its art07 event, following a four-way pitch.

The Manchester-based agency will develop a range of material, including programmes, exhibitor information, pre-promotional literature and branded merchandise.

The event, now in its fourth year, is held in partnership with the Northwest Regional Development Agency (NWDA) and supported by the BBC. Taking place as a summer party at The Brewery in Kendal on Friday 8 June, and as an awards party at Manchester Town Hall on Wednesday 17 October, art07 celebrates and promotes the arts in the northwest.

Scott McCubbin, managing director of Glorious, said: “The arts05 and 06 events established the event on the cultural map. It makes a significant contribution to the awareness of the region’s artistic stars. There’s no other event like it – it’s critical in promoting the Northwest’s cultural credentials.

“We were very keen to work closer with the Arts Council and demonstrate our flair for developing prestigious events like this.”

The Arts Council has also appointed Manchester-based Tangerine PR to promote the event for the second year in a row.

In addition, The Arts Council has appointed Liverpool-based Eventa Management and Mulberry Events in Lancashire.

Winners will be announced in three categories and the shortlist will be announced at the summer party at The Brewery in June.
