Line has bolstered its staff with the hiring of web developer Matt Riggott from Mercury Tide to work with technical director Ben Ausden.

Alex Cowles has also joined the agency as web designer. Cowles has been working freelance for Line for the last four months while also running his own digital consultancy.

The agency’s growth has been fuelled by a number of new projects, from both new and existing clients.

Line has been appointed to work on banners and site design for both Scottish Life and Royal London, strengthening its position in the financial market.

In addition to this, the agency has new sites going live over the coming weeks for MoneyQuest and Emigro – a new social networking site for British Ex-pats.

The agency is also set to start work on the new Edinburgh International Film Festival site following the extension of its contract.

The Edinburgh-based online team has won more work for AEGON SE, following its rebrand from Scottish Equitable. Recent projects include microsites, online adverts and reworking the financial firm’s brand guidelines for the web.

Managing director Ross Laurie said of the appointments: “Our year end was at the end of March 07 and we've had an incredible year of growth both in terms of cash, new clients and new staff. The entire digital world is on the up at the moment but we are growing quicker than most.”
