Lewis has created the new branding for The Scottish Publishers Association, which is to be renamed Publishing Scotland.

The Edinburgh-based agency will also be developing a website, which is set to launch in the summer. The rebranding’s aim is to widen the association’s membership to online and electronic companies, as well as to its existing traditional book publishers and also recruit freelancers, photographers, illustrators and publishing companies.

Lorraine Fannin, chief executive of Publishing Scotland said; "Lewis worked on the design for our Booksfromscotland.com website when that launched, so we had worked with them before. Then, when we came to work on these new ideas last summer, the first thing they were tasked to work on was the new brand identity."

Fannin said the association was looking for an identity that would work both online and off. "Lewis was tasked with creating a brand identity that was clear, very simple, immediately graspable, and modern looking," she said.
