Opera North, the Leeds-based Opera company, is gearing up for rebrand following a four-way design pitch.

The Drum understands that Manchester-based agencies The Chase and Dinosaur, along with Thompson and Elmwood, both based in Leeds, competed for the brief, rumoured to be worth around £17,000.

Although no one at Opera North was available for comment, it was confirmed that a final decision is expected next week.

It is also believed that following an initial pitch, the firm shortlisted Thompson and Dinosaur for a head-to-head presentation.

Opera North is funded through corporate sponsorship and individual donors and trusts and several council bodies.
