Award-winning duo gotgotneed sign to Gate Film’s roster of directors
The Gate Films has announced a new addition to its roster of directors in the shape of GotGotNeed, an award-winning collaboration between designers and directors Adam Wells and Will Smith.
Formed in 2004 while the duo were at BSKYB, GotGotNeed specialises in animation which fuses live action footage with other techniques to create distinct and original style.
Prior to leaving Sky, GotGotNeed won the 2005 Design Week Award for TV and Video, two Promax gold awards, and a host of other accolades. They have also worked for Channel 4, BBC, Channel 5, MTV and The Amp.
Steve Byrne, marketing director of The Gate, said of the signing: “It\'s taken some time for us to get hold of Adam and Will due to their contracts with Sky, but we’ve been aware of their work for a long time.
“We’re seriously excited about having such a word-class pairing on board.”
