Edinburgh-based Realise has been appointed by White Spider Media to create its online presence.

The London-based media-buying agency is just two years old, but it has already attracted some high-profile clients, including Scottish Widows Investment Partnership.

The agency turned to Realise to create a website that will present White Spider Media as a serious player in a fiercely competitive market.

Realise has been briefed to create something visually arresting, while promoting a strong sense of brand.

Fiona Proudler, creative services director, for Realise, said: “We share a client in Scottish Widows Investment Partnership, so the White Spider team had seen firsthand how we operated.

“They checked us out, liked what we had done and here we are.

“The site will have to be compelling to win the hearts and minds of those who visit, to get their buy-in and get them to act.

“However, we have a lot to build on in terms of the company’s passion for its business, and the creative brief demands some real depth in terms of the words and the imagery.

Hugh Perkins, a founding director of White Spider Media, said of Realise’s appointment: “Some people may think that our choice of an Edinburgh-based agency is a little unusual when we are surrounded by agencies in London, but Realise has a clear expertise for online design that is hard to ignore. And distance is not an issue when such enthusiasm and expertise for the web exists.”

The website is scheduled for completion at the end of April.
