Manchester-based design agency Love has bolstered its music credentials with a project for this year’s V Festival, which sees the agency refreshing the event’s identity.

The Love team commissioned illustrator Andrew Rae for the ads which will run as a press campaign. Love has also been appointed by STA Travel, the students’ and young people’s travel organisation, to develop its online and offline communications.

The first project will be a major push on round-the-world trips. The travel company - which recently appointed new marketing director Celia Pronto - has previously concentrated on classified advertising, but it is expected to switch more of its budget online.

Finally, Love has designed the graphics, programme and private view invites for Queen And Country, a new exhibition by Turner Prize-winning artist Steve McQueen. The exhibition of stamp-sized portraits of soldiers who have lost their lives in Iraq is on show at Manchester’s Central Library.
