Eames voted in as chairman of PR institute Group

Haslimann Taylor\'s managing director Bron Eames has been voted chairman of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) Midlands Group, which serves more than 600 members from Worcester to Nottingham.

Freelance consultant Sarah Thomas will be taking over Eames\' former position as honourary treasurer, while Melissa Page, national marketing manager for Wates Construction, will be the new honourary secretary.

Outgoing chairman Claire Oliver, managing director for McCann Erickson Public Relations, said: \"Bron was the perfect choice to be my successor and her decision to take on this important and time-consuming role has been warmly welcomed by the current committee.

\"With a reputation for getting results, Bron brings enthusiasm, dedication and a wealth of experience that ensures PR in the Midlands will be well represented and respected on a national platform.\"

Meanwhile, Haslimann Taylor has won a slew of new business contracts. These include commission from software manufacturer ScriptSwitch, from Coventry-based window and door fitters Gretsch Unitas, and from skincare specialists, DermaSalve. ScriptSwitch and Gretsch Unitas have both enlisted the Sutton Coldfield-based agency to develop awareness-raising PR campaigns, while DermaSalve, is working with Haslimann Taylor to launch an innovative new skincare range.
