Campaign HQ has made a major signing to start 2007. John McConville has joined the agency and will take over from founding director Gordon Quinn as managing director.

McConville joins Campaign HQ from Sunsol where he spent five years as operations director.

Quinn will now concentrate on internal business development and will take the position of corporate director.

McConville joins Campaign HQ, having recently worked on high profile accounts including Diageo, providing marketing support for its global communications team and Tesco, for its strategic marketing.

He also has considerable online marketing consultancy experience and has recently returned from a visit to the Azerbaijan Parliament advising on its communications and web presence.

Director Gordon Quinn said of the appointment: “We are delighted to welcome John on board. These are exciting times for Campaign HQ, recently winning best TV advertisement at the UK Green Awards, expanding the team and winning new clients.”

With McConville’s arrival Campaign HQ has expanded its client offering to include online and e-marketing.

Meanwhile, Campaign HQ has also added a number of new clients to its roster. The agency will now work with Dumfries and Galloway Council’s Adult Learning Project, creating TV, radio, press, poster and outdoor advertising; Scottish Resources Group, rebranding the organisation that was formally Scottish Coal; Atrium Games; and Jewel and Esk Valley College, implementing a radio, six-sheet, bus back and press campaign while developing Evolve, the college’s new development branding and design work.

The new wins will see Campaign HQ looking to recruit staff to fill a number of newly created positions.

Campaign HQ was launched in September 2004 by former Ten Alps MTD creative director, Guy Harrower and BBDO account director, Gordon Quinn.

The agency currently works with a range of clients, including Scottish Waste Awareness Group, Soccer Savings, Scottish Youth Parliament, Scottish Waterski Centre, Alba Kitchens, Wannaburger, Edinburgh Physiotherapy Centre, Keep Scotland Beautiful and Dumfries and Galloway College.
