The 2007 IPA Effectiveness Awards for agencies with incomes up to £20m are to be launched to Scottish agencies at two special events in Edinburgh and Glasgow on the 14 November.

Lord Gordon of Strathblane, CBE, who is the Chairman of RAJAR, will be the chairman of Judges.

This Scottish emphasis marks the merger of the Scottish IPA Effectiveness Awards into the annual IPA Effectiveness Awards scheme. The award for Scottish Effectiveness Agency of the Year remains.

Gary Wise, head of strategy at Feather Brooksbank, has been nominated as the Scottish representative of the IPA’s Value of Advertising Group, which promotes the evaluation of effectiveness, partly via the IPA Effectiveness Awards.

To ensure Scottish agencies are aware of the changes and well represented at the Awards Hamish Pringle, director general of the IPA is running two ‘How to write an effectiveness paper’ briefings at Malmaison, Edinburgh from 8.30am – 10am and at The Hallion, Glasgow from 6pm – 7.30pm on 14th November 2006.
