To celebrate its 20th anniversary, ice cream brand Mackie’s Of Scotland is offering consumers the chance to adopt a cow from its farm in Aberdeen.

Developed by Ignition Marketing, the agency formed by former Arc MD Joe McAspurn and Andrew Stephenson, the promotion aims to drive traffic to the web site and raise awareness of the brand in a competitive market.

Mackie’s has also teamed up with Eat Scotland to offer the promotion winner a five-star family break to Aberdeen to meet their cow and get a guided tour of the Mackie’s farm.

“We wanted our winner to really get to know our brand and get to see where their delicious Ice Cream comes from, so having them come and join us here will be a great experience for all of us,” said marketing director Karin Hayhow.

The promotional website was built by Edinburgh digital agency Lightershade and SMS marketing has been provided by mobile internet service provider Isomob.
