IAS SMARTS has scooped two accounts for two very different clients; Volunteer Development Scotland and independent financial advisors, Albannach Financial Management.

For Albannach, which the agency won following a three-way pitch, the brief is to help the company carve a niche in a crowded marketplace which is facing increasing legislative challenges.

Founded and spearheaded by Laurie Dempster in 2000, Albannach employs more than 30 staff across offices in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Falkirk and Galashiels.

Jason Hemmings, director and head of marketing at Albannach, said of IAS Smarts’ appointment: “The real challenge lies in creating space for us in terms of profile within such a competitive industry.”

The PR campaign will aim to raise the corporate profile of Albannach and its board within the business media.

On Volunteer Development Scotland, IAS Smarts will provide support across media communications activity following a four-way pitch.

The PR team on Volunteer Development Scotland at IAS Smarts will be led by Susie Fraser, senior account director.
