STV unveils new campaign by The Union to launch ecommerce website

STV has launched a TV advertising campaign for its recently launched website, stv.tv.

The website, created by Glasgow-based online agency Dog Digital, features a comprehensive news service, sports news, a ‘win’ section and online dating with more areas due to launch soon including genealogy and a wine club.

The first part of the site to be advertised on screen is the ‘out’ section. There are two versions of the ad which will be broadcast alternately.

STV has been working with The Union, to create the TV and print campaign for stv.tv.

Bobby Hain, MD of STV said: “The TV ads are quirky and fun and successfully capture the ethos of the website. The TV ads are designed to increase traffic to the site and raise visibility of what is an entertainment and info packed website from a trusted brand.”

TV ads for other sections of the website, including ‘win’ and ‘date’, will be rolled out over the next two months.
