Scotland wins double at CIPR

Two Scottish winners collected prizes for PR at this year’s Chartered Institute of Public Relations Excellence awards, which were held in London.

The Lothian Pension Fund, administered by the City of Edinburgh Council won the CIPR Excellence award for its 2004/2005 Annual Report.

Elaine Howie PR won the award for Outstanding achievement by a Small Consultancy.

Speaking of the Lothian win, Donald McGougan, The City of Edinburgh Council’s finance director, said; “Communicating with our customers is extremely important to us and good design can help new audiences to understand pension’s issues.”

Howie said of her win: “This is recognition at a national level and it is very exciting for my team and myself. Individually and collectively we're very proud.”
