The Pier looks to Golley Slater for media account

Home furnishings retailer, The Pier has appointed the Midlands office of Golley Slater to handle its media buying account. The first campaign that the agency will be working on is a national advertising push breaking in August.

The latest activity will focus on the Summer Sale, however, spend is expected to increase in the Autumn and in the run up to Christmas. Commenting on the recent appointment, The Pier’s Fiona Strang said: \"Obviously, being competitive on price is key but Golley Slater\'s fresh approach, ideas for the future and honesty also proved key in moving the media buying to them\".

Ian James, media director at Golley Slater, added: \"This is a great win for us and we look forward to working with The Pier over the coming years as they look to broaden their offering to a wider audience\".

Press advertising, colour supplements and magazine inserts, developed by creative incumbent HRO’C, are expected to feature in the first campaign.
