Tangent Graphic has been appointed by Glasgow City Marketing Bureau to design the advertising campaign concept for this year’s Glasgow River Festival (GRF).

The concept is to be applied to a variety of printed media and the GRF website.

This is the first year that Tangent has worked on the Festival, having won the contract following a tender.

Now in its third year, the Glasgow River Festival 2006 has grown year on year to be a significant weekend in Glasgow’s major festivals and events calendar.

The festival, which takes place in July, is an outdoor weekend festival around the SECC, Glasgow Science Centre and the Tall Ship. It is part of a project of event-led tourism, of which the over-riding remit is to encourage visitors to the city and hence increase the economic impact of the city. Additionally, the GRF aims to highlight and celebrate the regeneration of the world famous River Clyde as a leisure destination and as a working river.

Last year over 40,000 people attended the festival, which saw a full programme of land and river activity for people of all demographics.
