Scottish Widows has commissioned Scottish photographer David Boni to work on its first calendar following a six-way pitch.

Six photographers were invited to submit an image that illustrated their vision for the calendar. The images were then displayed at the Scottish Widows head office, where staff were asked to vote for the winning entry.

The winning image was shot at Fingal’s Cave on the island of Staff, off the west coast of Scotland.

The calendar will feature the Widow, model Hayley Hunt, and will be produced as a limited edition of 500 copies, to be distributed to a selected group of clients. Scottish Widows will run the calendar competition again in the future as a photographic competition.

Boni is represented by the Moretti agency, which also represents photographers John Owen and Robbie Smith.
