Halstead, one of the UK\'s leading boiler manufacturers, has appointed Rees Bradley Hepburn to handle its £500,000 marketing account. The firm is believed to have made the decision without a pitch.

Halstead manufactures a range of domestic gas central heating boilers from its base in Essex. However, in 2002 Halstead moved its marketing, technical services and training centre to Leamington Spa, from where it controls a nationwide network of service engineers and provides a dedicated Technical Helpline service.

Halstead marketing director, Chris Richardson, commented: “It is essential that in a competitive marketplace we keep at the forefront of technical innovation, product development and service delivery. Equally important is the way we communicate this to our marketplace and we\'re looking to RBH to help us to maximise its effectiveness.”

The work is expected to include sales literature, trade press advertising, tactical sales promotional work and POS.
