Dinosaur to handle Co-op Welcome Stores activity

The Co-operative Group has turned to Manchester-based Dinosaur, following a three way pitch, to deliver a new in-store communications programme for its network of Co-op Welcome Stores.
The task follows the agency’s appointment to The Co-operative Group’s roster of agencies following a national audit of the organisation’s creative suppliers last month. Dinosaur is now one of four agencies that will be working on projects across The Co-operative’s Group of businesses, including Pharmacy, Travelcare and Funeralcare.
Commenting on the agency’s approach, Jemima Tomlinson, The Co-operative Group’s director of brand development, said: \"Dinosaur demonstrated outstanding creativity and understanding of the retail environment. Their response to the initial food retail brief has gone beyond POS and into the realms of ‘in-store theatre’, in a way that will engage with and inspire our customers and staff across the UK. \"We are very much looking forward to working with the team to apply this level of creative to other businesses within our portfolio.\"
Dinosaur director, Mark Beaumont added: \"This is a tremendous achievement for Dinosaur and has given us yet another opportunity to compete with and succeed against the biggest agencies.\"
