The Hub Agency has announced the appointment of Victor Brierley as business development director.

Brierley joins The Hub following a period of consultancy work, working with online agency Zen Digital and fast-growing production company Republic Productions – which recently took on the staff and clients of Pure Design. Prior to that, Brierley worked with Citigate Smarts, which he left in July 2005 following a review of the agency’s services.

Brierley joined Citigate Smarts in June 2004 to head up the design arm following two years at Third Eye Design where he worked in a new business role, helping build the agency’s business.

David Clelland, managing director of The Hub said: "Although we've known about Victor for a good wee while, we spoke to a number of people about this role. It's one of the most important and key appointments we have made in recent times, so we spent time getting the right person to complement our already excellent team. Victor's unrivalled experience and unique attitude, along with soon-to-be-announced client wins and other key appointments will help to give us an enviable team and portfolio."

Brierley added: "I've worked in Scotland's best consultancies and it's clear that the team David has assembled here is as good, if not better, than the very impressive roster of agencies that Scotland can now boast of. It's going to be hard work but great fun.”
