Roses Ad Awards nominations revealed online

Judging has now taken place for the 26th annual Roses Advertising Awards. A host of agencies received nods, including The Union, which has been nominated in two categories (Best Art Direction and Best Use of Typography) for client The Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service. The campaign has also been used as this month’s front cover. A full run down of nominations can be found on the Adline website at www.adline-online.co.uk.

Judging is also taking place this month for The MPA Roses Student Awards. Agencies taking part in this year’s awards, which aim to recognise the best of young creative talent, include Dinosaur, Elmwood, Like A River, Love, Taxi Studio, True North and The Union.

Tickets for the Roses Advertising Awards are now on sale, with the event taking place on Thursday 4 May at The Palace Hotel in Manchester. Sponsors include Different, Lick UK, Freakworks, The Examiner, ProCo and The MPA.

Meanwhile, in other creative events related news, the call for entries for The Chip Shop Awards has been launched. The confirmed judges include Chris O\'Shea of HOW Communications, Andy Drugan of St Luke\'s Communications, Garrick Hamm from Williams Murray Hamm, Mike McKenna of J Walter Thompson, Nik Studzinski of Publicis London and Billy Mawhinney of Leo Burnett London.
