1576 has continued to develop its range of services with the appointment of Janet Alexander, previously a board member at DC Interact, to head up the agency’s digital offering.

Speaking of the appointment, David Reid, managing director at 1576 said: “Increasingly our clients expect us to be knowledgeable in the area of new media. Although we have experience here and have recently produced groundbreaking work for VisitScotland in this field, we thought it important to hire someone who could head up that side of things and help us further expand into this exciting new area.

“Janet’s track record and experience speaks for itself. Her appointment shows that 1576 are continually adapting and moving on from just being a traditional advertising agency.”

While at DC Interact Alexander worked with clients that included COI, Channel 4, Abbey, Tesco Finance, HBOS and The Edrington Group.

The agency recently acquired Carnegie Worldwide to launch a sponsorship and events division and announced an increase in turnover of more than 100 per cent for the last financial year, with a 110 per cent growth in profit.
