Scottish Courage has launched its first graduate recruitment scheme, showing its dedication to Scotland by selecting 3 Scottish universities to be in the four-strong group of universities it will be targeting.

The move marks the first time the brewer has gone direct to universities to recruit trainee marketers, and shows the influence of UK marketing director, Tim Seager, and UK consumer marketing director, Paul Bartlett, who both have strong FMCG backgrounds.

“This is our commitment to try and help get the real bright talent and bring it through our Marketing Excellence Programme but do it up here,” said Seager.

The move reflects the complaints that Scottish graduates feel they have to go down south if they want to progress their careers. The universities being targeted are Edinburgh, Strathclyde, St. Andrews and Durham.
