The IPA has launched a confidential pitch advice service for its member agencies, providing a place for agencies to seek assistance if they feel they are being asked to pitch on an unfair basis

The service will be entirely confidential and will work alongside the existing pitch advice offered by the IPA Legal Department on contracts, intellectual property rights and non disclosure agreements, and the IPA New Business Group on best practice guidelines.

Hamish Pringle of the IPA commented: “Many agencies already use the IPA network of new business executives to help improve pitch practice. What this new service offers is a mechanism for those breaches where the information may be too confidential to share with other agencies, or when the agency feels that any direct action on their part would be inappropriate or damaging. Our aim is to ensure that every client is aware that the industry has an agreed set of best practice guidelines and that the IPA will get involved where there are serious breaches of that best practice. ”
