Following an extensive review and subsequent decision to remove its roster in favour of a sole design supplier, McCain has confirmed the appointment of Elmwood. The Leeds-based office of the agency had been on the firm’s roster for over five years, but was invited to pitch for the business when McCain’s senior brand team decided to consolidate its partners.

McCain’s head of communications, Simon Eyles, said: “We wanted a partner who could work closely with our core brand team and network of agency partners in other disciplines. Elmwood has consistently demonstrated a superb combination of consumer insight, strategic awareness, creative excellence and a great sense of fun throughout our working relationship.

“We regard the team as a strategic annex to our business who can add significant value to the McCain brand.”

Elmwood’s strategic “Heads Up” approach and experience in delivering commercial effectiveness are understood to have been significant in McCain making its choice.
