Amtico International, the premium flooring company, is making a concerted effort to develop its brand presence with the appointment of two new marketing suppliers. Dig For Fire in Sheffield and Leicester’s Big Communications, have both been appointed by the firm to work on separate marketing projects.

Dig For Fire has been brought in to handle Amtico’s corporate brand marketing activity on a global scale, aiming to raise the profile of the company among prospective business clients, specifiers and stockists this year. The agency was chosen for its experience in business-to-business marketing and will aim to boost sales and loyalty while reaffirming Amtico’s brand proposition.

Charles Glover, managing director of Dig For Fire, said: “Amtico International has a first class reputation for its innovative and high performance products, which are used in thousands of stores and commercial premises around the world.

“We will be working on a series of corporate communications initiatives to be implemented across a range of media.”

Big was appointed following a competitive pitch, to help develop the Amtico brand in the UK, US and Australian residential markets. It is believed the pitch list was made up of agencies found in last year’s Recommended Agency Guide.

Initially, Big has produced a UK residential brochure, which was “unanimously chosen”, and following the roll out of the literature, will turn its attention to managing the brand’s creative strategy, with a view to a possible through-the-line campaign next year.

Big partner, Phil Wright, commented: “We are genuinely thrilled to be working with Amtico and helping to maintain their position as the world’s most exciting floor brand. It really is a testament to the calibre of the team we have built here”
