Communique Public Relations has announced the appointment of Neil Honor as its new managing director, a year after founder Paul Carroll and managing director Nathalie Bagnall left the agency. Honor will assume responsibility for the business, working closely with account teams in London and Manchester and alongside Justine Stevenson, who continues to head up the Manchester operation.

Honor makes the move direct from Kaizo Barclay Stratton, in London, where he was in charge of the Nestle account. Prior to that role, Honor headed up the food and nutrition practice at Ketchum, before later becoming a board member at Edelman subsidiary, PR21.

Meanwhile, Bagnall and Carroll have launched their new business venture entitled Zuma 011 in Manchester.

The PR firm will act as a business consultant to both PR and client firms alike. Former PricewaterhouseCoopers accountant Liam Ferguson has been brought on board to provide financial business expertise.

Commenting on the venture Carroll said: “We aim to give two distinct offerings; we will share advice to PR agencies to improve their business performances and we will enable clients to really look at their PR offerings properly.

“I definitely think that there is room in the market place for us, and have had a great deal of positive feedback from agencies and clients alike.”
