Glasgow-based Three Mile Media has launched its first preview issue of EQ, the electronic music magazine, available online.

The interactive magazine is a small taster of what readers can expect when the full CD-ROM version of EQ launches later this year.

The magazine, dedicated to electronic music and club culture, will be available for download across the UK on a monthly basis – but it forms just one part of the CD-ROM package, which will be distributed free of charge at bars and clubs in Glasgow and Edinburgh, and be available on a subscription basis.

Three Mile Media will be distributing 20,000 CDs loaded with new music downloads, mp3 samples of forthcoming releases, and extras such as video clips and PC wallpapers.

EQ editor Darren Watts, formerly assistant editor of Wax and M8 magazines, said: “We’re looking to combine the best things about traditional magazines and websites. These early preview issues will allow readers to let us know what we’re doing right and what we’re doing wrong before we launch the CDs.”
