Sass has been appointed by The Debt People to deliver a £500,000 television and press campaign for their brand.

The Debt People work on behalf of consumers with serious debt problems and specialise in IVAs – Individual Voluntary Arrangements – where creditors agree to write off part of the money owed as a genuine alternative to bankruptcy. Consumers are able to make affordable payments in order to become free of debt and creditors are able to salvage something from clients who might otherwise default altogether.

Sass will create an integrated national response campaign involving television and press advertising, a new website and re-brand for the business, aiming to establish The Debt People as the UK’s leading debt solution provider.

Commenting on the win, planning director Ian Waddington said: “ This is another major opportunity for us to build a brand through a fully integrated communications campaign. Debt is now an everyday fact of life and by working with The Debt People we hope to address those who are facing spiralling debts.”

Chris Daw of The Debt People, added: “We have ambitious plans for our business, and Sass have been enthusiastic and committed from the start. They offered us genuine understanding of our business issues and a fully integrated campaign solution. We are looking to Sass to play a major role in driving our business forward over the next year.”

The campaign launches in July on television backed up with national press activity.
