Dowcarter, the Edinburgh-based interactive agency, has rebranded as DC Interact following a number of high-profile developments at the business.

The agency, which was founded in 1998, has enjoyed substantial growth in the last couple of years, which has included the purchase of two London-based new media agencies and the recruitment of several senior staff members across both London and Edinburgh offices. Last year this expansion included the appointment of Adam Cavill, formerly Wolff Olins creative director, to the company’s Edinburgh office, and John Thew, formerly managing director of agency.com, as managing director of the London office.

The new identity, which was officially implemented on 12 May, was created jointly by Cavill and London creative director Mark Griffiths, and aims to reflect the expanded range of services that DC Interact now offers to its clients, encompassing strategic development, e-mail marketing, digital advertising and web design.

Rupert Valpy, founder and CEO, remarked: “It’s been seven years since we first opened our virtual window to the world of new media. Since then we have expanded to two offices – London and Edinburgh – staffed by more than 50 individuals from a variety of backgrounds.”
