Tamarind Wilson, the former head of marketing at Tequila in Manchester, has returned to Leeds to form a new agency with Sophie Spyropoulos, ex-head of PR at The Poulter Group. The agency, called Lucre, will specialise in public relations, event management and marketing consultancy.

Wilson has ten years of marketing and event management experience. In 2004 she joined Tequila from The Poulter Group, where she first worked with Spyropoulos.

Wilson said: \"Sophie and I worked closely together when we were both at Poulters. We have many complementary skills and together built the PR division at Poulters from scratch, securing the majority of the agency’s existing client base.

Wilson added: \"We share the same philosophy, which is to ensure that whatever you do, no matter how insignificant the task, make sure it’s always the best you can do; otherwise don’t undertake it in the first place.\"

Spyropoulos too, has ten years of industry experience, and was once a board director at international agency, Grant Butler Coomber.

Lucre has secured two clients to date, including Print Yorkshire, for which the agency will be handling all event management and PR for the inaugural annual show in October – \"Showcase\".

In addition, Twiga, The LifeSpace Company, has appointed Lucre to handle its PR account.
