Skoda has appointed Golley Slater to help increase its market share in the fleet sales market. The car firm will use a national PR campaign that will place more emphasis on its \"high quality cars and rich heritage.\"

Golley Slater will provide ongoing national PR consultancy, B2B media relations and ad-hoc project work.

Commenting on the activity, Cathie Bell, head of press and PRat Skoda UK said: \"In the past, our cars have traditionally been purchased by user-chooser private owners, but in recent years the business sales market has become an important audience that can’t be ignored. This campaign will run alongside our consumer strategy, but will target fleet managers’ needs, which are very different to those of private buyers.\"

Golley Slater’s Birmingham office will be responsible for handling the business.

Meanwhile, Golley Slater’s Cardiff office is believed to have won the seven-figure marketing brief for the government-funded initiative, Envirowise, following a three-way pitch. The scheme, which has been set up to minimise waste and offer advice to businesses on resource efficiency, will be using national and regional press advertising, direct marketing, e-marketing and telemarketing.
