Cats Protection is to target 20,000 cold contacts with a direct marketing campaign created by Cheltenham-based TDA. The activity will highlight the increasing numbers of kittens needing help.

On average, 50 kittens a day come into the care of Cats Protection, which is putting a strain on the charity’s resources. Susan Gorridge, acting head of marketing at Cats Protection, said: \"Cats are now the UK’s most popular pet. However, there are still many unwanted kittens. Despite running a successful neutering programme, we still take in and re-home 20,000 kittens every year.\"

TDA account director, Sarah Don-Bramah, added: \"The objective of the campaign is to make recipients feel good about playing a part in helping a kitten whilst showing the scale and professionalism of Cats Protection and its work.\"
