Charteredbrands, the Edinburgh company that acquires and rejuvenates ailing brands, has recruited three experienced senior executives as it targets acquisitions in the drinks, household goods and FMCG sectors.

Joining Charteredbrands, which also has offices in London, is Phil Collins, former sales director at Bulmers, Bob Cheeseman, who spent 15 years with Scottish Courage Brands, and Tim Staniland, who was most recently UK sales director at Henkel Detergents and who has held management roles with Geest and United Biscuits.

In February, Charteredbrands acquired a 50 per cent stake in Brooks Drinks, one of England’s oldest spring-water producers, and last year it took over management of the Pomegreat pomegranate juice brand, turning it into the fastest growing juice drink brand in 2004, growing sales 600 per cent since its launch last summer.
