Nexus People Recruitment, the recruitment-to-recruitment consultancy, has turned to Birmingham-based design agency, Tomorrow People to kick off a major marketing drive. Nexus was launched in Birmingham seven months ago and has seen significant growth since. The firm hopes this marketing push will help in developing its clientele across the country.

Tomorrow People has taken a controversial approach to the advertising, which plays a central role in Nexus’ marketing activity. The ads will play on the recruitment industry’s supposed \"unscrupulous reputation\".

Defending the firm\'s decision to run with the campaign, Nathan Annington, managing director of Nexus People, said: \"We would argue that we are not trying to reinforce myths with this campaign, we are actually trying to highlight some very real issues and are tapping into the dissatisfaction which many people experience when dealing with our industry. If the recruitment world is ever going to truly overcome these negative perceptions, we need to actively promote best practice by dealing with these issues head-on.\"
