Glasgow-based DA Group has unveiled its latest creation, an adult mobile phone service called Fantasy Babe.

The application, which was officially launched at the 3gsm event at Cannes on Valentine’s Day, takes the shape of a programme that can be downloaded to colour-screen mobile phones and allows users to design “their ideal woman”, who can then perform a number of animations and read out text from messages and downloads.

The company is currently looking for network and content partners for the application, which is part of DA Group’s Java range, Yomego, and will be followed later in the year with the launch of male version Fantasy Hunk. Mike Antliff, CEO at DA Group, said: “The adult entertainment market is often the biggest catalyst for the take up of a new technology, so the rationale for the launch of Fantasy Babe is not only to drive revenues, but also to ignite a market in which, I believe, we have more expertise than most.

“Mobile phones and texting have become integral to the way we communicate. For some, it is still quite impersonal and expressionless. We strongly believe that it’s time to re-invigorate texting, and bring those messages to life. Our technology and Yomego characters make it that much more fun and personal.
