Kerrang! 105.2 has concluded its search for a new managing director with the appointment of Adrian Serle. Serle is making the move from fellow Emap stations Hallam FM and Magic AM in Sheffield, where he operated as sales director.

Serle, who joined Emap from Bristol-based Radio Works, will assume his role on October 4 and describes his new challenge as a “fantastic opportunity”.

In other radio news, GWR Group has confirmed that it will bid for the new Greater Manchester FM radio licence, and Jacquie Salkowski has been promoted to the role of station manager at Manchester-based station 96.2 The Revolution.

Meanwhile, Kiron Wood has moved from Chrysalis Radio Yorkshire to head up the firm’s North West sales team.

As sales director, Wood will be responsible for the team that represents all of the Chrysalis Radio brands in the UK.
