The 80-outlet-strong O’Neill’s pub chain has moved its PR account from one Huntsworth Group company to another, after appointing Harrison Cowley to look after its communications brief. Harrison Cowley is believed to have won a pitch against incumbent, and group stablemate, Haslimann Taylor, and one other agency.

The team will now create a consumer-driven PR campaign that will focus on key calendar events that fit with the O’Neill’s brand. The agency will also make use of its network of offices to cover local PR.

Agency MD Loretta Tobin said: “This account is what we were designed for. For a company that has so many outlets, we must be pretty hard to resist.”

O’Neill’s has appointed Harrison Cowley on an initial year long contract. In other news, the firm has helped launch TNX TV, the UK’s first TV channel for commuter train passengers.
