Northlink Ferries has confirmed that it is currently on the hunt for an advertising agency to help it promote its services through a television campaign in 2005.

The ferry service, which runs in the North of Scotland between the Orkneys, Shetland Isles and Aberdeen, currently uses Shaw Marketing and Design for all its marketing work.

However, the ferry operator is now aiming to appoint an advertising agency to promote its services through television advertising. The process is believed to be in its first stages, with a decision to be made next month.

Commenting on its decision to appoint an advertising agency, Elaine Tulloch, marketing projects manager at Northlink Ferries, said: “We are in the process of appointing an agency for work on a 2005 campaign and hope to have made a decision by the end of September.

“We are aiming to promote our services to a wider audience and are going to do that through a television campaign next year.”
