Metis, has won a two-way pitch against Blue Chip Marketing to secure a key piece of business from William Grant & Sons.

Metis will be working to a budget in the region of £100k in order to reposition and reinvigorate the position of OVD in the Scottish market.

The new strapline for O.V.D. will be Distinctly Demerara, highlighting OVD’s unique origins along Guyana’s Demerara river. The promotional based re-launch campaign is based upon the theme: A Measure of Character and will include both on-trade and take-home elements as well as ambient activity.

“OVD is a quality dark rum from Guyana with a genuine heritage,” commented Geraldine Roche, marketing manager. “Metis embraced this and have created a campaign that will encourage more drinkers to understand and try the brand”.

The first campaign launches in September this year.
