Frame© has strengthened its creative department by appointing Lewis Macintyre as its new head of design. Shortlisted for Young Scottish Designer of the Year 2004, Macintyre joins from 999, where he worked on accounts such as Orange, Reebok, Sony and Highland Spring. Macintyre launched his career at Tank, producing award-winning work for Loretto Housing Association.

Meanwhile, Frame© has created its first work for the University of Dundee since retaining the account in a two-way pitch against JWT London. Written and art directed by Iain Nevill and Phil Sanderson, the campaign of two twenty-second TV ads, two radio ads and posters positions the University of Dundee as an environment where students will discover the rest of their life. In one commercial we see a tennis court and a smashed-up tennis racquet with a sign that reads, “This is where I discovered my competitive streak”. The next vignette shows graffiti in a skate park that reads “This is where I discovered art”, and finally we see a girl in a Student Union bar. Beside her, a beer mat reveals, “This is where I’ll discover the rest of my life.”
