The Edinburgh College of Art has moved its graphic design account out of Edinburgh’s Navyblue and into Glasgow-based Curious Oranj, following a competitive pitch.

The account will run for three years, with the first project being the design of the 2006 undergraduate prospectus, which will be completed for spring next year.

Michael Bates, head of marketing for the ECA, said: “We wanted a fresh, original approach to design, along with a solid understanding of the creative student we are targeting, as the prospectus is a major element of the pre-application process and the overall communications strategy. Curious Oranj demonstrated an understanding of us and the market, showing how its approach to design could be developed into other communication vehicles.”
