Vladivar is thought to be rekindling its attempts to search for a new advertising agency to handle its £4m advertising account.

Although no one at Whyte and Mackay, the vodka’s parent company, was available for comment as The Drum went to press, the drinks company has previously denied that the business is up for review.

However, speculation in the industry has now linked the business to both Newhaven and TBWA\EDINBURGH.

Gary O’Donnell, managing partner at TBWA, refused to be drawn on the subject, while Newhaven’s Jonathan Shinton denied that the agency had been in talks with Vladivar, although Newhaven has had relationships with Whyte and Mackay in the past, creating a tongue in cheek viral campaign for the whisky. TBWA was also recently tasked with a project for the firm’s Jura malt whisky brand.

Vladivar vodka’s recent ad campaign, created by The Union, featuring pop idol Har Mar Superstar, has won a raft of awards, however it is thought that the account could still be moved out of its current incumbent agency.
