Laura Hutchinson, creative director at The Hub, has moved to rival design firm D8.

Hutchinson, who has been at the Speirs Wharf-based agency for six years, will now fit into D8’s expanding design team, which also employs Keith Dodds, a former Hub employee and Young Designer of the Year runner-up.

Speaking of her imminent departure, Hutchinson said: “After many happy years at The Hub I felt the time was right for me to move on and further add to my experience.”

The hunt has already started at The Hub to replace the outgoing creative director, who is currently working off her notice period. However, David Clelland, managing director at The Hub, has insisted that he will take his time to find an appropriate replacement: “It has been a pleasure working with Laura for the last six years and we wish her all the best in her career. We've looked at a few candidates to replace her already but the position has not been filled to date. We are still looking for a long-term, high calibre and well-respected creative to fill the gap.”
