Beefeater, the UK restaurant chain, has appointed Oxford-based agency, JJ, as its local marketing activity. The six-figure business will see JJ look after 156 restaurants throughout the UK.

The agency will kick off the activity by launching the Beefeater \'Wish You Were Here\' summer campaign. The push will include radio advertising, flyers, bouncebacks, banners, direct marketing and local press.

JJ representatives will also be attending key staff training days and will be introduced to the staff. Work has also commenced on a toolkit for each restaurant, which will include a quarterly update pack, brand guidelines and a portfolio of templates.

The win follows JJ\'s appointment to the Beefeater roster last year, when it was taken on to handle national promotions for the firm. Commenting on the appointment, Sharon Smith, marketing manager at Beefeater, stated: \"We wanted a company that really was full service and had a strong track record in local marketing. In addition, we were already impressed with JJ\'s national promotions work for Beefeater and are delighted to be working with them in this new area.\"
