Low-cost airline Ryanair has handed a marketing project to Glasgow-based FrameC following a competitive pitch process.

The company, which rarely uses marketing agencies, handed FrameC the account after seeing presentations from a number of different agencies from both north and south of the border.

Although nobody at either FrameC or Ryanair was available to comment on the appointment as The Drum went to press, it is believed that the agency has been commissioned to update several of the airline’s advertising straplines and is already working on the project.

Ryanair chief executive Michael O’Leary last month vowed that the company would become the ‘world’s favourite airline’ within the next year, and would continue to frustrate competitors by lowering fare-prices while increasing seat capacity.

The company flies from several airports in the UK to a wide range of locations throughout Europe and Scandinavia.
